CHARACTER BIO: MORNN
"When life robs you, sometimes you have to rob it back."
-Markus Zusac, The Book Thief
Origin: A rich, decadent medieval kingdom in which pleasure is prime and beauty is god.
Body: Tall and lean. He moves with a steady grace and a strange rhythm. [Lauren, that was for you.] His hair is fiery and wavy and his face is scattered with pale, faint freckles like stars. He has soft brown eyes but surrounds them with harsh black kohl. A small golden cuff perches on his left cartilage and a tiny golden stud sits on his left eyebrow, but it blends with his freckles and is barely visible. His ten long, dextrous fingers are covered with unique and beautiful rings--but one is a simple golden band. The back of his neck is tattooed with a star chart, and he is left handed. He wears close-fitting black clothes and a large black leather vest. He uses his hands when he speaks, with a graceful, imperceptible precision akin to punctuation. [I know this was detailed but I wanted you guys to be able to describe him accurately, should he pop up in any of your scenes. =)]
Soul: He would say he doesn't have one, smiling slowly and sarcastically with glittering eyes. People who take themselves and their troubles so seriously amuse him. His voice is a melody, always rich and condescending, dripping with cynicism and humour. He is a master of words, of their heights and depths, but he speaks little. His charm is mesmerizing--but the truth is that he doesn't care. He's outgrown these ideas of complete depravity, of intense emotion, burdensome inner troubles, and hideous pasts. He has grown into himself, and he cares for nothing but what he can choke from life. He knows it is not some great oppressor, and he the victim. Life plays upon him like a bow upon a violin, and he trembles, sings, and moans beneath its sometimes unbearable touch.
